Tudor Chairs, Ray of Sunshine, School Council
Posted on November 7th, 2008 at 1:33 pm by year4 and
Today, Y4 finished the Tudor chairs, so thank you to all who sent in containers to help us build them. I must say that they are absolutely fantastic (possibly the best so far!!) and the children have really enjoyed working together to make them. Hopefully parents will get a chance to see them next week when we meet.
There are a few Ray of Sunshines to catch up on! Liam H was voted for by Sam for good behaviour on the playground. Alex was voted for by Eleanor for being funny and kind. Sam was voted for by Tom M for never letting him down and just today Kate achieved the award for looking after her friends. They are all excellent reasons so well done to you all!
As well as the Ray of Sunshine, we also have our ongoing SEAL nominations. I know that a number of Y4 have been nominated for doing things to be proud of, even if they haven’t been chosen out of the box in assembly, so again, well done to you all!
FINALLY . . . today the childr

Niamh is our third Ray of Sunshine this year. Niamh was voted for because she comforted one of her friends when they weren’t feeling very well. What a lovely thing to do Niamh. Enjoy looking after Pippin!
The Tudors

Our main topic this half term is The Tudors - mainly Henry V111 and his 6 wives. The children have already shown great interest in this subject and I’m very impressed by those who have been continuing their study at home. A particular well done has to go to Tom M!

Well done to Eleanor who became our first Ray of Sunshine for the new school year. Eleanor was spotted by Hannah, helping one of her friends when somebody was being a bit nasty. Well done Eleanor (and Pippin said thank you for his lovely new ribbons).
Our second congratulations goes to Luke, who was voted for by Nathan for helping him with some work. Very kind Luke!
You will go to the Ball!

Congratulations to our very own Anna M who has been chosen to dance in the Cinderella pantomime this year at the Liverpool Empire. The show will be on throughout December and January and I’m sure Anna would be delighted should her friends turn up to support her. Good luck Anna - I’m sure you will be fantastic!

This week our Ray of Sunshine award goes to Jessica Harrison. Jessica was voted for always allowing others to play with her which is something we should all aim to do.
Last week the award went home once again with Amy. Amy was voted for by Lauren who said that Amy always has a smile on her face. What a lovely reason (and very true too).
