Google Documents and Quiz Answer Spreadsheet

As usual we have had a very busy week. One particular bit I have been especially pleased with is the Data Handling Numeracy Challenges we have been doing. Everyone has worked really hard to improve their skills of forms, charts, tally charts and graphs.
I use Google Documents for lots and lots of different things and it (google docs) has great features to use to help with Data Handling (my computer permitting!) and a whole heap of other things. We set up a list of questions that you can see on our blog that can responses from lots of people in different places (including the Moon!!). We did not include all the questions that the children came up with but I have set up a single google account that the children can access that should enable them to have a go at embedding forms into their own class blog…….fingers crossed.
The results spreadsheet can be viewed at http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=0AmxmLyNya6yXdGdIY0FjYUtuYU1kdGVOb1BPX2dtLUE&hl=en_GB
If anyone is interested in using google documents to share information or activities with our class please contact me in school, or through our class email address gpyear4@gmail.com
